Conky Config v2.0

I am back with another conky script I made. This one builds off the old one but adds some new features and fixes some issues.

This conky config works best with at least a 1920×1080 resolution or larger.

What is Conky?
Conky is a free, light-weight system monitor for X, that displays any kind of information on your desktop.

How To Install Conky

Once Conky has been installed, you need to modify or create a config file to set Conky’s parameters.
The default Conky config file is located ~/.conkyrc or /home/.conkyrc

Conky will automatically look in this default location for the config file and use whatever parameters are specified inside the file. To test Conky and start it up, just open terminal and type in conky. Remember, you must tell Conky to automatically run when you first start your PC or login.

Please Note: I suggest delaying conky by 10-20 seconds at startup. If it starts before some other system processes, it can cause issues.

I use the following command to start up conky with a 15 second delay.

conky -p 15

Download Conky Config

To have weather working, You must edit the config file and replace “” with the RSS Feed for your location.

    Your conf was just what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
    Everything but the temp is working.
    How can I correct the CPU tempetature?

    1. admin says:

      TEMP: ${color #39ff14}$alignr${hwmon 1 temp 1}°C${color}
      This is line you need to edit. I suggest changing temp 1 to temp 0 or temp 2 and see what happens.
